Infinix has introduced the next generation of its most advanced smartphones — the Zero series. As in the previous year, two models were presented at once, the main difference between which is the chipset used. The junior version received MediaTek Helio G100 (analogous to G99), and the senior one — a much more powerful Dimensity 8200. Other differences are also related to the difference in chips: for example, absolutely identical 6.78" displays with a resolution of 2436x1080 pixels operate at different frequencies: 120 Hz with a PWM of 2160 Hz for the junior model and 144 Hz with a PWM of 2304 Hz for the senior one. For the same reason, the Wi-Fi versions differ: 5 (ac) for the junior model and 6E (ax) for the senior one.
But the most interesting component of both smartphones is the same: cameras. They both have a 108-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization (though based on the budget Samsung HMX sensor), a 50-megapixel wide-angle, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 50-megapixel front camera. Both smartphones come with the GoPro Quik app pre-installed; in addition, the built-in camera app can also work as a viewfinder for the GoPro. A “flash with zoom” is also declared, whatever that means. The Infinix Zero 40 and 40 5G also have a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging, but only the 5G version also supports wireless charging.
