Detailed review of Infinix Note 40 Pro: King of the 6 million segment, but the fatal error has not been fixed yet!
Infinix Note 40 Pro review can be considered the most worth buying phone at the moment when it is comprehensive in all aspects, but the device still has a big minus point.
If you are a technology enthusiast , a true smartphone player, you must have known the Infinix Note 40 Pro, one of the hottest phones recently. With a price of less than 6 million VND, the Infinix Note 40 Pro almost beats all competitors in every aspect, and can be considered the most comprehensive in this segment.
However, to have a more objective view, I have also directly used it as my main phone for a while and now have enough experiences and reviews to bring to everyone. And to know if this Infinix Note 40 Pro is worth buying, what to note before buying, please follow the detailed review of this phone below!
The design is so beautiful, there is nothing to complain about
In terms of aesthetics, I would say that the Infinix Note 40 Pro has the most beautiful design in its segment to date. The beauty of the Infinix Note 40 Pro is not only its flashy exterior, but also its outstanding interior quality.
In the current segment under 6 million VND, only the Tecno SPARK 20 Pro+ can be compared to this Infinix Note 40 Pro. However, in my opinion, the Infinix Note 40 Pro is still more outstanding with its luxurious leather back, the highlighted camera cluster and extremely different color scheme.
The leather back of the Infinix Note 40 Pro is what makes me excited when using this phone. Actually, I rarely use bare phones because I find it has no grip, no firmness, and importantly, it does not bring a new feeling when using it.
With Infinix Note 40 Pro, it's different. The leather back of Infinix Note 40 Pro, although not too soft, may just be imitation leather, but it still has a certain tactile feedback, a feeling that you can only feel when holding it in your hand. I appreciate this back because in addition to aesthetics, it also helps us hold the device more firmly and does not leave fingerprints or sweat marks during use.
That is also continued when the plastic case that comes with it is also designed with the same leather part. I like this design of Infinix, they understand that users want to experience the leather back and also want to protect the phone, so they design it like that.
The remaining hardware details such as buttons, connection ports, speaker holes, etc. are all designed very carefully by the company, there is nothing to complain about. The glossy plastic edge is a bit sweaty but not too much, just wipe it lightly and it's done.
And because this is a thin and light curved screen phone, you have to compromise on the feeling of holding it when using it, of course when holding it it cannot be as secure as holding a thick phone. The good thing is that the corners of the phone are curved so it is quite comfortable to hold, but you have to hold it firmly because it will fall easily!
Another plus for the display
I rate the Infinix Note 40 Pro as one of the rare products in the segment equipped with a curved screen on both sides, if there is, it is currently only the TECNO SPARK 20 Pro +. Whether or not you like to use a curved screen depends on your preferences, but personally, I find the screen of the Infinix Note 40 Pro feels very comfortable to t ouch, very smooth in hand.
At first, I was a bit worried because I thought that a curved screen like this would be very easy to accidentally touch on both sides, similar to other cheap products. However, after using it for a while, I found that I never accidentally touched or had a touch disorder. I went into the settings and found out that the phone has a feature to prevent accidental touches on the edges, a very useful feature for curved screen phones like this.
There is nothing to argue about the display quality, large screen, sharp AMOLED panel, vivid colors, high refresh rate of 120Hz, high brightness,... in general, I have nothing to complain about the screen on this Infinix Note 40 Pro, all daily experiences are very good.
Infinix Note 40 Pro's performance is still worth the money
Infinix Note 40 Pro is equipped with MediaTek Helio G99 Ultimate processor, one of the most popular chips in this segment. With basic daily tasks, Helio G99 Ultimate is still doing very well, even being able to handle some mid-range games like Lien Quan , PUBG Mobile or even playing Genshin Impact at low settings.
The device also has 8GB of RAM along with 8GB of virtual RAM, the memory will be 256GB so you can still comfortably use it for another 2-3 years without worrying about falling behind. For your basic tasks, mostly just downloading a few social networking and entertainment apps, 256GB is more than enough.
Software is what matters
In terms of software, the Infinix Note 40 Pro has been updated to the latest XOS 14 version based on Android 14, which is a benign interface and has very few minor errors during use, unlike Xiaomi's MIUI or HyperOS.
Infinix's interface is also designed to be quite eye-catching, easy to see and easy to operate. There is a feature that I find very interesting, which is that you can click on the bottom corner of each task in the Control Center bar to quickly open related tasks, typically opening Flash can open Flash first, Flash later or both at the same time.
There are too many compliments, but Infinix Note 40 Pro still has a pretty big criticism. Like most Transsion products, Infinix Note 40 Pro still has a pretty big mistake, which is unstable Wi-Fi signal. That is a point that makes me quite uncomfortable during the time using this phone.
For example, there are times when the device only has 3-4 Wi-Fi bars, while most other devices connected to the same Wi-Fi network are always full bars. At that time, I also suspected that it was just displayed like that but the connection speed was still okay, but after I tested the Speed Test with my Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, the results were different, my Redmi always gave a download speed of over 100Mbps while the Infinix Note 40 Pro only fluctuated at 20Mbps, the highest was up to 40Mbps.
That invisibly causes a drop in mood when using this phone, with the same network connection, one phone downloads content extremely fast, the other is much slower, waiting takes quite a long time.
Infinix Note 40 Pro's camera is quite good in the segment
Infinix Note 40 Pro has a 108MP main camera with OIS anti-shake capability, providing good image quality and video recording capabilities in this price range. Here are some photos I took from Infinix Note 40 Pro, please refer to:
Overall, the photos from the Infinix Note 40 Pro still have a certain level of detail, which can be said to be quite good, the colors are also processed naturally, the white balance or light and dark are all good. In general, if you need a phone with true colors, just a little flattering processing, this Infinix Note 40 Pro is very suitable for you.
The ability to take photos with blurred background is also good, the details are separated without any excess, and the facial skin is also processed moderately.
The front camera gives pretty good selfie quality, although not very impressive, but the processing is okay.
The camera's ability to process night images is also quite good, handling light and dark contrast well, moderate balance, not too good at handling bright areas, but if you know how to take pictures and lock the light, the resulting photos are still quite good.
Previously, we also posted a camera review of this Infinix Note 40 Pro, you can also refer to it below:
Good battery, fast charging
Still the same familiar parameters, 5,000mAh on Infinix Note 40 Pro can give you a completely comfortable day of use. I don't really care about checking the battery percentage, just take it to work in the morning, occasionally surf Facebook, TikTok, check Messenger and Zalo messages , and when I get home in the evening, there is still about 40% battery left, enough to use for the evening.
Regarding charging, the device has very fast charging capability, 70W so it only takes about 35-40 minutes to fully charge.
Infinix Note 40 Pro Review
In terms of strengths, I rate the Infinix Note 40 Pro as unrivaled in this price range, and can even surpass more expensive phones. In terms of weaknesses in Wi-Fi connectivity, this can be considered a trade-off, you have to accept this weakness in exchange for the remaining strengths, otherwise you can choose another phone that is not as comprehensive but has a strong signal for more comfortable use.
